Security systems are made up of many different electrical and mechanical components. As with any products of this nature, from time to time they can break down. By regularly servicing your security system, we can make sure that all of its components are working correctly or if they are in need of repair or replacement. Your security system relies on these different components to work, so it’s important to maintain and service your security system regularly. At TMC, we recommend servicing your security system on a yearly basis to ensure it continues to work effectively to keep you, your family and your valuable assets safe. When we service your security system, we will check the control panel, the backup battery, the power supply, the detectors and reed switches, the sirens and strobes and will make sure there is no corrosion or damage to any of these parts and also clean these important components. Detectors need to be regularly recalibrated and the level of your backup battery should also be regularly checked to make sure it is not faulty or at a low capacity (batteries also need to be replaced every 2-3 years).
