'Back to base' monitoring is an important component of any security solution. How does it work?​

‍When your alarm system is activated a signal is sent (usually through a telephone line, but this can vary depending on the nature of your security system) to the back to base monitoring centre. The monitoring centre staff will be alerted that there is activity at your home or business – this might be an alarm, but depending on your security needs, you can be notified if people are entering your premises out of hours (commercial security systems only) or even if your alarm system is being tampered with. When the monitoring centre staff receives a signal, they will either contact you, a patrol company, or the police, depending on the nature of the signal (or alarm) received and your instructions. By acting on a signal immediately, we can often nullify a problem before it escalates. We can also monitor your system, should ever a system problem arise (for example, if your alarm system stops reporting/sending through alarm signals).
