TMC announces the arrival of DirectWireless™

The Monitoring Centre in cooperation with Security Communication Solutions International (SCSI) and its association partner OPTUS have now installed the DirectWireless™ network and receiver systems into our Control Room.

SCSI's GCWAI-DW DirectWireless Guardcell™ is a complete supervised wireless primary alarm monitoring system with supervised PSTN back-up. Guardcell™ transmits the signal through high security alarm transmission via the dedicated DirectWireless™ network to The Monitoring Centre.

DirectWireless Guardcell™ is unaffected by phone line sabotage or failure which is an ongoing problem with phone line based monitoring systems. It is designed to be quick and easy to install and provides for a plug and play installation to existing and new security systems. The unit is completely self contained in its own metal enclosure with power supply and back-up battery.

This-all-in one solution ensures easy installation without being restricted to control panel type or location. Since DirectWireless Guardcell™ is designed to meet AS2201.5-1992 Class 4 & 5 Alarm transmission systems, and interfaces to any standard alarm control panel, the product is perfect for any installation and provides the highest level of security.

The entire DirectWireless™ network and receiver systems are fully redundant from end to end to ensure constant ongoing reliable operation.


SOME KEY FEATURES:
  • 20 or 90 Second Polling supervision test signals
  • Lightning fast Point to Point acknowledgement of all alarm transmissions
  • Monitors the back-up PSTN connection for line Voltage
  • Monitors the back-up PSTN connection for Dial-Tone (Detects PSTN outages even in the event of temporary disconnection where line voltage is still present with no Dial-Tone)
  • 3 x Alarm inputs with E.O.L monitoring and Open / Close input
  • Plug and Play connection to DTMF dialer alarm system. Provides full communication over the DirectWireless™ and PSTN networks
  • Communicates all system fault and restore alarms in Ademco CID format via the DirectWireless™ network for; Polling Supervision, PSTN Line Voltage, PSTN Dial-Tone, Connected Alarm CPU, 24 Hr Tamper, AC Power, Low Backup Battery
  • Communicates all events in standard Ademco Contact ID format
  • Full installation and after sales support from the dedicated SCSI DirectWireless™ service centre
  • Dual band 900/1800Mhz GSM/GPRS modem
  • Australian designed to comply with AS2201.5-1992 Class 4 & 5 Alarm transmission systems Part 5 – Alarm transmission systems Class 1,2,3,4 and 5
