The control room is the 24-hour communications centre of the company where the monitoring of all clients is undertaken, from private homes to offices and giant production plants, a wide range of clients currently subscribe to sophisticated electronic monitoring.
The on-line communication network, backed by state-of-the-art technologies and highly trained licenced personnel, is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The alarm monitoring activity is fully computerised using the latest ADSW Monitoring Software.
A "monitored line" is an alarm system at a client’s premises which, upon activation, sends an alarm signal via the telecommunications network to a Security Company’s Central Control Station which responds to the alarm in accordance with the customer’s instructions, usually by sending a patrol response vehicle or the emergency services.
"Monitored lines" are usually owned by the company or person who installed the alarm system. The installer may monitor his own lines, or he may sub-contract the monitoring to another entity, which runs a monitoring facility.
When a sub-contract arrangement exists, the monitored lines are called "bureau lines", the installer being known as a bureau to the monitoring centre.
