GSM MOBILE NETWORK MONITORING

Until now, most security systems were totally dependent on the public telephone network (PSTN) or Securitel or Direct Line. GSM offers an incredible high level of security and reliability, at at fraction of the cost of Securitel or Direct Line. In fact if a phone line is cut, alarm signals will still be received at the monitoring centre, unlike Securitel or Direct Line.

Each year, monitoring centres and installers face more and more challengers, cut phone lines, regulations, false alarms, increasing crime, the delayed response time to alarm calls, etc. You can connect a GSM Unit to almost any existing Alarm Dialler and protection starts immediately.

By utilising three monitored communications paths (The standard PSTN telephone line and the GSM - Global System For Mobile digital network & SMS Short Message Services) linked to the the monitoring centre, GSM is highly secure as well as cost affective. If one path fails, the system automatically switches to the operational path and notifies the monitoring centre of the fault and or alarm activity.

Three alarm transmission paths (GSM Digital cellular network and the standard PSTN telephone line, and SMS) provide greater probability of successful communication to the monitoring centre than only one path, no matter how dedicated or supervised the one path may be.
