MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE TEAM AT TMC

The Monitoring Centre would like to say a big thank you to all our Bureau’s for your support throughout last year and hope that all of you had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 2007 was another eventful and successful year for the TMC staff. We had marriage proposals, weddings, births and news of babies on the way.

The team at TMC would like to wish everyone all the best for 2008!

CHANGES TO SECURITEL

On the November 21, 2007 securitel customers were advised that Securitel was being withdrawn from the market place. Listed below are important dates if you currently have any Securitel clients or clients wishing to connect Securitel.

February 1, 2008 - The sale of Securitel to new security companies will cease.

January 1, 2009 - There will be a cease on adds, moves and changes to all existing Securitel services.

December 31, 2009 - Customers will no longer be able to access or use Securitel services.

If you have clients that wish to connect Securitel to their alarm system please advise them of the above, and perhaps suggest another technology. In this newsletter other replacement technologies such as Direct Wireless, Surepoll and Permaconn will be introduced to you.

GPRS SOLUTIONS

DirectWireless, Permaconn & Surepoll are excellent replacement technologies for Securitel and are in fact better technologies. With Securitel, when a phone line was cut the control room did not receive any further alarms. However, with GPRS even if the phone line is cut TMC will still receive all of the alarm activations.

TMC CHRISTMAS PARTY

On the 8th December last year the TMC gang went out to celebrate another great year . This year the celebrations were held at a beautiful restaurant on King Street Wharf. The alcohol flowed into the night and the laughter got louder and louder. At our Christmas celebration this year “Natalie” was awarded with the Star of the Year award. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate her for this achievement. Also, thank you to “Jan” for missing the party and taking care of the control room. The only downfall of working in a control room is that someone has to stay behind.
